Steve Cuthbert will take on roles at Birmingham based Greencyc

Director of the former Caudwell Group, Steve Cuthbert, have partnered to run a UK recycling company that specialises in mobiles.

He is aiming to turn Birmingham Based Greencyc into an 'internationally recognised market leader in environmental control'.

Greencyc Chairman Avtar Sandhu said: 'I am delighted that Steve has agreed to come out of semi-retirement and also brought along Graham. They are a vital addition to the team at Greencyc and together we will take the business to the next level.'

Ellerton, who was previously marketing director at Caudwell Group's distribution arm, 20:20 Logistics, said: 'Recycling is a high priority in mobile comms and we have joined Greencyc to build a brand that is synonymous with the very best in disposal and re-use.'

'The correct recycling of mobiles and other electrical products is a major concern across Europe and there is massive opportunity for companies with the right credentials to perform a great service to all industries. '

Cuthbert was managing director of the Mobile Phone Repair Company, the former Caudwell Group's service centre. Both directors were key figures in the Caudwell Group until it was sold by John Caudwell for £1.4bn.

Cuthbert will take on the role of non executive director and Ellerton takes the position of marketing development director.

Greencyc has a consumer division collecting phones and electrical products via three websites and has European operations in Spain and Sweden.
